Complaints about new prices for sun loungers on Pattaya beach
Tourists have complained about the new prices for sunbeds on Pattaya beach. The operators have increased the prices for a lounger from 40 to 60, or even 100 baht.
We traveled to Phuket very often but stopped doing so a few years ago because it was suddenly decided not to allow sunbeds and umbrellas anymore. We always stay at the Holiday Inn Resort or the Patong Merlin Hotel. We would love to travel again but want to know if that ridiculous ban is still in place. I also read something about so-called 10 percent zones where this is now allowed again.
I intend to go on holiday to Phuket/Patong again this year. I remember that some time ago the sunbeds (with mattress) on the beach (Patong) were banned. Has this tourist-unfriendly measure been withdrawn?
My wife and I are going to Thailand again. First to Bangkok. We stay at the Ibis riverside hotel in the Banlamhulang district and would like to go to a nice + affordable (fish) restaurant. Who has a tip? Furthermore, we are not sure which island is best to go to.

On the beach we are only allowed to spend our well-deserved vacation days next to each other without gaps. I see that some people place chairs/clothes on the free beach in front (outside the area of the beach pavilions) my question is the following: can I now place a lounger on the "free beach part" and spend the whole day on it, or should I take into account that the police / military will forbid me?

I would like to know what will happen to the beach in Jomtien? I heard all the beds go off the beach. is that correct and by when?
