In 1998 we had the opportunity to buy a piece of land in Bang Saphan (Patchuap Kirikhan) about 100 meters from the beach. The construction costs in 2001 were 75.000 guilders for a two-storey house with a roof of glazed tiles. Necessary in my opinion due to the proximity of the sea (and therefore salt).
