My house was built 12 years ago on 520 square meters and has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a living room of 114 square meters, indoor and outdoor kitchen on 2 rai land.

Costs for the house, without the land at 10 km from Udon Thani, 2.600.000 Baht, which was very cheap at the time. Currently being asked for around 6.000.000!

Dear reader, have you also had a house built in Thailand? Send a photo with some information and the costs to [email protected] and we post it.

It looks really nice and neat from Edmond. But 5 bathrooms isn't a bit overdone.
I take it you didn't want to set up a municipal bathhouse. There must be a reason for you, who am I to pass judgment on that. Beautiful photos give a good impression of the whole, looks like a small estate. Well maintenance, but well that keeps you busy. Something about the price, what you bought twelve years ago and is now worth a certain price in your opinion, may be correct.
But remember, a prize is only a prize when your intended amount is credited to your bank account. You have realized wonderful preconditions to lead a good and happy life, everything in our Western society is expressed in money, but happiness is in the daily small things. Wish you a long and happy period in your beautiful living environment.

Yes Henri, the prices of raw materials and labor are becoming more expensive all over the world' My own house (looking at houses by readers number 2) took me 2 years to get to that point. And a little building plot in a big city (which are usually stamps from 50 to 75 m2) become almost priceless! So you have to calculate the total price' My first home was also affordable 13 years ago, but that is different nowadays, when I look at the current sales prices' in Thailand and especially worldwide'

    Looks beautiful nice spacious plot
if you look with an investment in mind, as you describe
    Will be fine
Make sure you have chosen the rainwater in old Thai style.
Are better than new types of rainwater barrels.
You can possibly paint beautiful tulips on it, gives a Dutch touch

Edmond. Beautiful house and in a beautiful setting.
Do you happen to know people who want to rent out their house for a month? Ca Feb 2019. My wife and I want to test live in Udon Thani or the surrounding area for a month to see how we like it. Ultimately, the intention is for us to emigrate.

Question I read a message from someone who had walls built with a cavity in between to keep the heat out during the construction of his house. Who can give me more information on this.

    Thank you very much, JanHo.
