This true story serves as a warning to anyone seeking refuge in the apparent safety of lockers while vacationing abroad, in this case Jomtien, Thailand. Despite the routine of two vacations a year and confidence in the safety of personal belongings in a condo safe, the narrator was confronted with unexpected thefts.
It can happen to anyone. You go on a trip and when you arrive at your destination, you neatly store your passport in the safe of your hotel room. The visit to the place ends and goes to the airport on the way back home or to your next destination. There you notice that you have accidentally left your passport in the locker, which messes up your travel plan.
