Maybe someone has experienced this before or knows a solution for me. After 11 years of marriage, I am considering divorcing my Thai wife. We have a 4 year old son. I was married for the Buddha as well as for the law in Thailand at the time. Are there any financial obligations for me if I get a divorce? Can she claim my pension? I am retired and receive AOW and pension from ABP. I also have a considerable amount in a savings account at a Thai bank.

After 6 years of marriage, my Thai wife and I have decided to separate. We bought a house together 7 months ago and now my question is whether you know how this will be divided in the event of a divorce? We have a 2.4 million baht house, she has a 1.4 million baht mortgage and I have put in 1 million baht from our equity to buy the house. Fortunately, when we bought the house, we had my name put on the back of the chanote and I have a usefruct.

I bought land in my wife's name about 10 years ago (there's no other way). I built a house on it. After many years together, my wife decides to move abroad and start a business together with her friend. I continued to live in our house in Thailand. After 7 months she decides that she wants her freedom back and asks for a divorce. Since the relationship has not become anything in the meantime, I agree.
