I have been living in Thailand for 10 years now. Every year I filled in my income statement for tax purposes and used the Right of Choice. This allowed me to make healthcare costs deductible (medications, doctor's costs, transport costs). As a result, my aggregate income was a lot lower, so that I even received a small amount back. Unfortunately, due to my age, 80+, I cannot take out insurance. A month ago I received a tax assessment of 1.454 euros.

Raised completely differently, different values, different norms. But yeah, that's my choice, I get it.

Well, if it were allowed, it is of course not an appetizing sight all those writhing bodies making love on the beach. “Just think of the children, who can openly see this stuff” and in Thailand there is a recurring argument: “It damages the reputation of this beautiful holiday country.

March 14 2018

Does anyone know how I can apply to set up a Thai company (with which you can then enter such a project as a self-employed person), but also what the conditions are, the duration, the pitfalls (rights, obligations, risks), the costs, the tax status of Thailand and Belgium, etc… I would go for the simplest form of company, so just what is strictly necessary to become a franchisee.

I bought land in my wife's name about 10 years ago (there's no other way). I built a house on it. After many years together, my wife decides to move abroad and start a business together with her friend. I continued to live in our house in Thailand. After 7 months she decides that she wants her freedom back and asks for a divorce. Since the relationship has not become anything in the meantime, I agree.
