Until Wednesday, parts of Thailand should expect heavy rain in the South and thunderstorms in the North, Central Plains and East, the Meteorological Department said.

In thirteen provinces in the South it will continue to rain until Wednesday. Waves of up to two meters are expected in the Gulf of Thailand. Kelien boats must therefore remain ashore.

Saturday afternoon it was quite a hit in Pattaya (see photo). Three main streets were flooded: Sukhumvit Road in North Pattaya, Pattaya Beach Road and Pattaya-Na Klua Road. There was 3 meter of water on a section of Pattaya Soi 1 Road at the Mum Aroi intersection.

Well then there will be no shortage of water for Songkran!

At least we had more water than last year around this time, they shouldn't say there is a shortage now, at least if they store some of it?

This is due to the natural phenomenon El Nina, the opposite of El Nino (which was applicable last year), which causes an extremely dry season. And you guessed it el nina creates an extremely wet season.
