Tony's Memorial Celebration in Jomtien

This week, Thursday, we said goodbye to Tony. It is striking how many people still knew Tony. A farewell without Tony because he had already been cremated and returned to the Netherlands, where a church service was held in Oudemirdum.

In Jomtien the farewell service was held in The Baptist Conference, this happened because only Sundays in the Royal Twins Palace Hotel is a room available for the Encounter Church, where Tony liked to come. Several speakers and pastor Allan sketch his life without making a moral statement about it.

Every farewell is the birth of a memory. Important is not only the road you go, but also the trail you leave behind.

On the basis of photo compilations you could follow Tony's life with his characteristic tattoos at one point. The impressive service was accompanied by a Filipino band.

One sentence that stuck with me was: “Salvation belongs to God!”

RIP Tony

  1. Roland says up

I never knew the man, but this goodbye made an impression on me.
Indeed, in death we are all equals.
Then it is only a matter of waiting for the judgment of the almighty.
Only He can judge the living and the dead.
    Goodbye Tony…
