Price fighter AirAsia X from February to Paris
Malaysian airline AirAsia X will launch its second route to Europe in February next year.
As of February 14 (Valentine's Day), the low-cost carrier will operate a flight four times a week between its home base in Kuala Lumpur and Paris Orly Airport. An Airbus A340-300 with 327 seats will be deployed on the route.
AirAsia X opened a scheduled service to London Stansted in 2009, the company's first European destination. Six months later, the Asian company announced that Paris would become the second destination in Europe, but when was still unclear.
Phuket
In Kuala Lumpur, AirAsia X offers onward connections to several other Asian destinations, including Phuket and Bali.
AirAsia X promises to offer temporary stunt fares to celebrate the opening of the route to Paris. Those who book a ticket between 22 and 24 November can encounter a few journey of 99 euros including taxes and fees, the airline said.

Coincidentally this afternoon I tried to book a flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok with Airasia. At first the ticket prices seemed to be better than expected and 12go and nokair were already full on the desired date. Anyway, once on the website there was a levy on the price (which is almost everywhere, but this levy was higher than expected). Okay can happen. Anyway, just check the luggage rules…….ah look at that up to 15 kilos free…oh no on that page again it says no……ah yes again. Next page: great, this only applies to international flights… oh no, not at all. And so it went on for a while. Had the Thai page checked by a Thai acquaintance, but there was not much more than on the English pages. Finally got on with books.
Hey what do we see there, you have to pay for luggage up to 15 kilos. But come on, we're busy anyway so we'll keep going. What a luxury, an in-flight meal with a choice of meal ... but don't do it, because you also have to pay extra for that.
Time is running out because at the top of the form on the website it is explicitly stated that everything must be completed within 9 minutes, otherwise you have to start all over again. passport number, date of birth, telephone number, address, passport number, expiry date, etc. (of all passengers, not just the one who books). When confirming, the message that you have to pay a lot for extra weight and that you had better buy it in advance (because at the airport you can only buy up to 15 kilos). Seat selection….not free of course so we choose no seat selection. And again a popup message, click ok to go to seat selection or cancel to continue without seat selection…..Yes, completed everything within 9 minutes and send it…… bzzzzzzzzzzzz our website seems to be busy, please try again later(something in anyway).
Then we decided to fly a day later, with 12go (orient thai nowadays), booked within a few minutes and received confirmation via email, that's how it can be done.
