Good news from the SVB for state pensioners
At least, I thought it was good news. I received the annual form again to fill in for proof that I am still alive. Previously I had to go from Pattaya with my Thai wife to the SSO office in Laem Chabang for some formalities and stamps, but that is no longer necessary.
The letter I received now states that I can have the form completed by a notary (or otherwise) and then simply send it to Roermond, done!
I assume that this new working method applies to all state pensioners in Thailand, so no one has to make a (sometimes long) journey to an SSO office anymore.
It can also all be arranged via the internet, but then a DigiD code is required and I don't have one (yet).
Good news? If you live far away from the SSO, you may. But I live almost next door and SSO is free, the 'notary' in my hometown asks 2.000 baht, but that is with wax stamp. Moreover, I still have to be at the SSO for my wife's income statement. I am satisfied if both options remain.
Or simply at Immigration with your completed document. then scan and email to all pension payers.
You can also have such a proof of life legalized at the Immigration Service, after all, it is a government service. In Hua Hin the costs are TB 500. Fortunately, we also have an SSO, but they only issue a statement for the SVB, which is free. Scanning this paper and emailing it works fine.
I also went to sso for my pension fund and they did it for free
Since I am still registered in Germany, I always receive my form there, in both Dutch and German.
What if, for example, if I were to live permanently in Chiangrai with my Thai wife, would the form be available there in both Dutch and Thai language? And where in Chiangrai can I get this form stamped as a life certificate.? Please only replies from people who know for sure. I have my own suspicions and suggestions, but unfortunately this didn't help.

John, My Thai wife and I present ourselves at the police station. We will receive the document in Dutch and English. The local police gives the necessary stamp and the Belgian pension fund accepts this without further ado!

Gringo, I also received the form and called Heerlen just to be sure.
There I was told that they only accept SSO. The notary's was a mistake.
Corretje there are indeed notaries in Thailand. So I go to a “legal notary” in Korat
no lawyer and she charges 500 baht for everything she does for me.
Josh, HEERLEN? I do my SVB business with Roermond. Is this a typo on your part, do you mean the tax authorities or is SVB also located in Heerlen?
Glad to hear it's a mistake. SSO is free, I read my previous comment, and have a pension that wants proof twice a year and accepts the SSO letter.
Immigration here refuses, and the amphur wants a letter in Thai. It is again the familiar story: a hundred different systems in NL and no uniformity in Thailand.

@ jos velthuizen, are you confused with that. Thailand has no notaries, these are Lawyers (lawyers) who, after a brief training/information, have been given a license to handle notarial matters. They have not taken a notarial oath because they are already Lawyer. Not every Lawyer has such a permit. Baht 2000- is the normal asking price. If Baht 500 is requested, it is usually a Lawyer without such a notarial license. So watch out. TIT.
This method already applied to me in January last year. Nice and easy, now you just have to go to the police station for some stamps. And this service is free and I have been doing it for 4 years. I will take a copy from last year with me and say: “Now the same again, stamp and signature.” My wife only went to the police station the 1st time and has never been to the SSO office.
They used to accept notaries, doctors and the Embassy at the SVB..in recent years only SSO...with only 1 exception....if you happen to be in the Netherlands during the period that you may/must submit the form (usually 6 weeks), then can it be done at any SVB office in the Netherlands .. just report it at the desk .. look I'm still alive … if I can, I combine a Dutch trip with this statement … have visited 1 x SSO in Sakon Nakon a crime … .. already two years in the Netherlands

I received this letter for the first time (ABP) and according to a friend this can also be done at immigration, this would be free.

You can find the SSO in chiangrai if you drive from the city towards Mae Chan, cross the large bridge over the Mae Kok and take the first road on the right, after about 2 km (large sign on the left of the road.)

Sometimes she is just absent for a while, so I always call her personally in advance, but for privacy reasons you have to ask for this number yourself during the first visit. Also make sure that you do not come on an official Thai holiday, then the office is closed.

Received the proof of life last Monday, but without the accompanying (standard) letter.
So just go to Laem Chabang with my wife as usual to have the form signed and stamped there as usual.
It sounds good, I have tried it on the computer on which I have digital Digi D, but it is not stated anywhere at the SVB that I can download it, maybe I am too early, I hope you are right.
Just for the record, in Hua Hin at immigration 500 baht for any service whatsoever, but SVB does not accept stamps from anyone, only from SSO, so we know that here and going to the SSO in Hua Hin is a piece of cake and very nice people too, have tried everywhere else FIRST translate and then (maybe) ??? they still look at you questioningly and not at all with the police, so just look for the SSO office and have it stamped there, experience works wonders, they say, that is my experience of 10 years in Thailand, nowadays I have all the other things signed in the hospital by the doctor and a stamp at the cashier free of charge and no problem because they speak English.
