Note to Ronny on visa question no. 280/21 Year extension based on marriage. In it you write the following:
“if that is indeed the case, you should ask for a recent extract from the Kor Ror 2 marriage registration. Did you enter into that marriage abroad and was it subsequently registered in Thailand, that is a Kor Ror 22. Please note that document is only valid for 30 days.”
I would like to answer that you must present a copy of Kor Ror 2 at the Pattaya immigration office, certified in a district office, at least 60 days instead of 30 days. For your information.
For my personal file I needed the following documents in Pattaya:
Immigration Pattaya, marriage visa
- TM 7 2 copies
- 2 copies of passport
- a copy of id card wife
- a copy of house registration wife
- a copy of marriage certificate (cor2) must not be older than 60 days. Request a new one at the district office.
- a copy of the marriage certificate (cor3)
- bank certificate original and copy
- copy of bankbook and the original bankbook, please adjust the bankbook to date current or corresponding to the date of application
- the original statement and a copy ( must be passed at least 2 months ) 400.000 baht
- Copy of house registration, rental number
- Copy of the lessors ID card
- Copy of the lessors house registration
- House rental contract (the lessor must be the host)
- Family photo in front of the house ( see house number clearly as well ) , and inside of house at least 4-6 photos living room, dining room, sleeping room, kitchen … )
- house map drawn by myself
*** remark : all documents are prepared in 2 sets each, arranged accordingly.

VFor Pattaya it may indeed be 60 days. That's what I mean by those local rules. Such things can sometimes deviate locally. Keep an eye on. It is "not older than 60 days" and not "at least" as you write, which then takes on a completely different meaning.

It is actually not really a copy of your KorRor 2 but an extract that is printed from the database at the town hall, stamped and signed. Costs 20 Baht in Kanchanaburi. That proves that you are still registered as married to each other under Thai law.
I posted my renewal here in March. Pretty much matches actually.

What is the difference between a KorRor 2 and a KorRor 3?
It looks like they are both marriage certificates.
We got married in the Netherlands, so I have to assume that we will get a KorRor 22 upon registration…
In short
Kor Ror 3 is the marriage certificate. That's the one with the drawing on it. It states, among other things, who is married to whom, where, when and under what number.
Kor Ror 2 is the marriage registry. For example, also state who recorded the marriage and who the witnesses were. Any marriage contracts are also completed there. Could be about assets, but for me, for example, it also states that we have agreed that my wife will keep her own name.
If an extract from the KorRor2 is requested, such as for a Thai Wedding, it will only contain some names and some date and registration information. Marriage contracts or so on, because immigration, among other things, of course has no business with that. They only want proof that they are still married and that is why it is also an extract from that marriage registration.
A KorRor 22 is also an extract from the marriage registration, but it means that the marriage was entered into abroad and subsequently registered in Thailand.
In short, I understand that if you are married in the Netherlands and have this registered in Thailand, when you are granted a period of residence, you request a new extract Kor Rol 22 and that this is sufficient together with the papers from a number of years ago when I registered through embassy and municipality in Thailand

Yes. If your marriage is also registered in Thailand, you can apply for the KorRor 22 and therefore also an extension based on Thai Marriage.
