Reporter: Jan

Personally, I had the hope and thought that the 90 day registration would one day become a thing of the past. I still don't see the added value of it. I have let go of my silent hopes and thoughts since my last 90 days of registration. After all, at Immigration Jomtien you now have to submit the following for the 90-day registration. We can't make it any easier for you.

1) TM 47 form
2) copy Passport first page
3) copy Visa page
4) your last Visa stamp enter to Thailand
5) copy of your address report (TM30)

There was a time when only the passport was requested in Jomtien. Has this been abandoned again? Have you ever tried online? Works great and none of the above is necessary.

Enter name, passport details and address details where requested and send. You will receive confirmation that it has been received and when your 90 day notification will be processed on your email. 15 days before the next one you will automatically receive a message that it is time again.

They can't make it any easier for you

    I'm very surprised too.
Dear Jan, when were you there? I personally sent my trusted motorbike taxi to that office in Jomtien on October 17. No hassle. Only showed the passport, the officer did his work on the computer as usual and stapled a new message into the passport.
If copies had to be made, I would have heard about it, if only because it costs money...

Jomtien immigration has introduced this 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, not just the passport anymore.

Ronny is, as usual, right: only your passport is enough, at least in Jomtien. It contains a strip with a barcode, which is then run through a barcode reader and you're done, in roughly less than half an hour you get your passport back with a new strip and the next date of the "90 days". ”. Perhaps in Jan's case it is the very first time he has completed the 90-day emergency.

I was there on October 19, and as Jan indicates, they have to bring all this back or make a copy with them, I was also surprised, even the desk was brought forward 3 months ago. And one woman asked if this was a one-time update, but they said, no, so if it doesn't change again, it's best to take everything with you.

    Hi Ronnie,
Was already published weeks ago in Bangkok Post and Pattaya Mail. And these additional or restored rules are not only for Jomtien but nationally. Add that the same applies to the annual extension. They want to get a grip on the residential addresses of Expats. There are too many walking around with false residence addresses or without tm30.
    greetings BOB

Only a few immigration offices had to provide the passport.
This was certainly not generally applied nationally. You still needed all those forms there.

By the way, you don't have to deliver all that online.
If the address is not registered in the database via the TM30, you will probably receive a message that it is unknown and you will have to come by yourself.
That is why the online regulations also state that you must do this yourself at the immigration office when you first report. Probably to check that.

The online service does NOT support if:
      – There have been a change of new passport.
The foreigner have to make the notification in person or authorizes another person to make the notification at the immigration office located in the locality in which the foreigner have taken residence. After that, the foreigner can make the next 90 days notification by online service.

“There are too many walking around with false residential addresses or without tm30.”
      I fully agree.
If the address managers who are ultimately responsible for registration were to be dealt with more strictly, that would also solve a lot.
Simply blaming it on the foreigner or saddling him with a fine and saying that he has to ask the address manager for it back is too simple.

Last month, I filed a 90-day report at the Jomtien immigration office, only submitted my passport and was outside again within 10 minutes with a new stamp.
    No other documents needed.

For the record I went on October 31st. So my information is hot off the press, so to speak.
On the desk where you must submit your 90-day report, there are currently 2 information boards indicating what you must submit, as I indicated in the message. While waiting for my passport I saw many surprised faces of unsuspecting people who also came for the 90 day notification and were confronted with the new rules.

They just went back to the way it used to be and is actually provided if you do it on site or by mail.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to report it.

I no longer have any connection with Pattaya, but I never knew anything else in the immigration offices where I went than that you had to provide those forms. However, in recent years more attention has been drawn to the TM30.

Now only online and as mentioned, it works fine. You don't need all those forms either.

Yesterday, 90 days reported online with new passport in Jomtien
    Received approval today.

Perhaps I should just say that I have NOT received any advance reminders since I received two 2-day notifications. The first time I was late (a week or so), I tried online and to my surprise it was just approved. But, better not count on those memories! I live in Buriram.

    • RonnyLatYa says up

Of course, that memory is just an extra.
It always remains your own responsibility.

It doesn't matter where you live either.
The system creates that reminder. Not someone who makes an email with that reminder and then sends it to you.
It is also stated at the bottom of that email

“This email is auto-generated. Please don't reply. In case of any queries, please contact ROYAL THAI POLICE IMMIGRATION BUREAU.”
