According to the Kasikorn Reserach Center and the Center for Economic and Business Forecasting of the UTCC, the number of inbound tourists could rise to approximately 34 million (2016: 32,6 million). Thailand welcomed more than 6 million foreigners in January and February. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports says that this is an increase of 15,48 percent compared to a year earlier. In the same period, 10% more Dutch people also visited the 'Land of Smiles'.
