I want to go to Thailand for 6 months in July. Which visa do I need to stay in Thailand for 6 months? I was thinking about the tourist visa for 2 months (60 days) plus one month extension in Thailand? So 90 days in total. Is it possible to get 6 months with a visa run?

I departed from NL on the 14th, arrive on the 15th of February. I'm leaving on March 15 shortly after midnight (March 15 AM, so just to be clear). No problems until the last check. Then suddenly there was a lady who could not count. I even had 1 day of slack. But a superior was called in and then it took at least 20 minutes before I was allowed through.

I will have to decide in due course whether I will live full-time in Thailand or remain registered in the Netherlands. There have already been several AOW articles for "advanced persons" here, but it is not clear to me how much AOW someone who lives in Thailand and has been deregistered in the Netherlands receives net.
