Questioner: John

Who can tell me what I need when I fly to Thailand in January. Such as extra documents for the application of an annual visa Non-immigrant or multiple. Does anyone have any experience with this as I don't want to be denied when flying from Dusseldorf, Vienna, to Bangkok.

Thank you in advance.

You do not say whether you want to apply for a Non-immigrant O based on Thai Marriage or based on Retirement

You can apply for a Non-immigrant O based on Thai Marriage.

All information for this can be found here: hague.thaiembassy.org/th/page/76474-non-immigrant-visa-o-(others)

Apparently you cannot currently apply for a Non-immigrant O based on “Retirement”. The website is not very clear about this, but readers were answered that it only concerns foreigners who already have a Non-immigrant O or Re-entry to apply for a CoE. Perhaps there will be more clarity later on whether please contact the embassy yourself.

The Thai embassy in Brussels is not reporting anything about this at the moment, but maybe one of these days.

However, should it become possible to apply for a Non-immigrant O in the future, you will find all the details here. Keep in mind that for a retirement the in/out patient insurance 400 000/40 000 Baht was now also mandatory as was already the case with a Non-immigrant OA and this on top of the COVID insurance of 100 000 Dollar: hague.thaiembassy.org/th/page/76474-non-immigrant-visa-o-(others)

You can also opt for a Non-immigrant OA. You can request it now: hague.thaiembassy.org/th/page/76475-non-immigrant-visa-oa-(long-stay)

https://www.thaiembassy.be/visa/

As for COVID documents and evidence, meanwhile, the website of the Thai embassy has been updated (November 15). You can also read what is stated above and which documents you will need.

De Bock, thank you very much for all this information. Nice overview.

I do get completely discouraged by the amount of rules and forms and requirements. I'm just waiting. 🙂
