Questioner: Cock

Much is written back and forth regarding a visa. Mid-November I have to extend my annual visa in soi 5 Jomtien. I am in possession of a visa type O.

The question to Ronny is, he is the expert in this field. Should I take out health insurance for this or not? I do not think so.

I am Buddhist married and own 2 bank books with more than enough resources.

Like to hear.

You are in possession of a period of stay obtained with a Non-immigrant O visa and in that case health insurance is not an obligation to obtain an annual extension

Only meeting the financial conditions and that should normally not be a problem if you have sufficient resources as you say. A bank book with at least 800 Baht is then sufficient.

"Buddhist married" as you call it is nice for you and the family, but you can't do anything else with it.

Perhaps a small addition: bank book in your name.

Just put the dots on the i.

There is no annual visa. You obtain a period of residence through that visa. In Cock's case, that is one year. So he extends his stay. Not his visa.

You can NEVER extend a visa itself. Once you've used it, it's invalid.
