Thailand Visa question No. 330/22: Re-entry

Questioner: Hank

After an earlier question, you advised me to request a re-entry. I found the TM8 form on/via Thailandblog and printed it out. It asks when I leave Thailand and come back. Is that a hard requirement to meet those data?

How long does it usually take to obtain re-entry?

It asks for my whereabouts. Does it mean the address where I stay in Thailand? Or my place of residence in the Netherlands?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • You will receive a re-entry immediately. It's just a stamp in your passport. Usually takes a few minutes and it's done.
  •  If you don't know exactly when you're going to leave, estimate what is likely to be, even when you'll be back if you don't know exactly.

I take a re-entry immediately after I have obtained my year extension, but I often have no idea when I will leave or when I will return. Then I take a date that I think it will be approximately. Doesn't really matter.

  • You must enter your address where you are staying.
