Questioner: Simon

It is currently very busy at the embassy in The Hague. I can only go for my (23 day tourist) visa application on November 60.

Does anyone have experience with / insight into the average processing time of such an application and also that of a Certificate of Entry (CoE)?

This in connection with rebooking my flight/hotel.

I think you should take into account a week for the delivery of your visa.

Then take a few more days for a CoE. It all depends on how busy the embassy is at the time, the time they take to respond to your CoE. If you have everything in order, it will all go a bit faster.

But how long do you actually want to stay with that Tourist visa. You get it for 60 days. You can always extend once by 30 days.

However, if 60 days or less is sufficient, you could also consider leaving with a Visa Exemption. You get 30 days upon entry, but you can also extend it in Thailand by 30 days. Is also 60 days and you do not have to wait for a visa.

Readers who have recently applied for a visa/CoE can give you an idea of how long it took them. Take an average of that and then you can already estimate whether you will have to rebook or not.

Currently also a bit busier at the Visa questions on TB. It may take a few days for your question to be posted

I did my visa application in mid-September on a Friday and the following Tuesday I could pick it up again
But now it's busier, I would count on at least more than 1 week

It is busier with the visa applications, so with the COE applications it is logically also busier !!

I made the COE application on October 4, pre-approval after 3 days
Then I uploaded ticket and ASQ in the COE
Received the final COE today October 9th
You still have to send it to the ASQ hotel
So COE lasted 6 days with me

I am traveling to Thailand on October 24, so I started with the paperwork in plenty of time,
because you also have to take into account that something is missing in your COE application ,
then you will be a few days further to restore it and wait for approval

    Good luck Simon

I just received my CoE last night. I submitted the application on Sunday and 2 days later I received the pre-approval, after which the second part of the application was immediately sent again, which resulted in receipt of the CoE last night. So count on 5 to 6 (working) days and note that there are several public holidays this month on which the immigration/embassy will be closed.

Also prepare the uploads in advance, such as your vaccination certificate, passport, visa, etc. The faster you have the

The info on this blog from a certain Saa of October 6 that the CoE application is a piece of cake, which would only take 4 hours, is therefore pure fake news, or, as Saa herself says, “Sheer nonsense”!

    Success!

      Haki,

The subject is not about a COE application but about an appointment for a visa application.

After the pre-approval from my CoE, I sent my ticket and ASQ reservation via the website yesterday at 12:45 PM. At 20:38 I received the CoE.
They work there adequately and well into the evening.

No appointment is necessary for a CoE, because everything goes digital there. And then it is also useful to know the time required because the questioner is ultimately concerned with rebooking a flight/hotel. Ronny also indicated that we should mention experience about the time span of CoE application.

    Simon,

Engaging a Visa agency may be an option. You can discuss the current lead times with them in advance. They often have a better entrance at the embassy. I submitted my application via the ANWB a few years ago.

Via the ANWB ??? Then you must have a big wallet. I called this week for some information. When I wanted to know what it would cost, I was very shocked. 700 euros, Ridiculous.

    • Teun says up

Exactly Hans! Last week also informed via ANWB at VisaCentral CIBT. I was also told that it would cost € 700! But extensive service, your passport is collected at home and delivered again ...
