For a day, the Lange Voorhout will be transformed into a vibrant center of Thai culture, with music, art, food, and special performances. This year the festival not only celebrates its 15th edition, but also 420 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Netherlands.

Since we already had an account from an application last year, it went quite smoothly (the elimination of that difficult insurance requirement with Covid coverage makes a big difference). After logging in and creating a new application, you will arrive at the page where you must enter the personal data. I filled that...

In response to a visa question, I noticed that the website of the Thai Embassy in The Hague had been adjusted again. Especially the web page about visa requirements.

On the website of Embassy The Hague it literally says: Financial evidence eg bank statement >> At least 200,000 THB or 5,500 EUR for the multiple entry Tourist visa (no problem). On the Embassy websites of other countries, this amount must have been in an account for the last 6 months (a problem). Now we have nothing to do with other countries, but we do our application on the same website, namely https://thaievisa.go.th/. I wonder if those 6 months also apply to Dutch people.

As you can read in Ref, the Thai Embassy in The Hague had already reduced the financial requirements for a Non-immigrant OA to the previous amounts last month. The Thai Embassy in Brussels, however, still continued to set these higher requirements, but that has now also changed. They too have returned to the former amounts

I am going to the embassy in The Hague this month for a new visa. Previously, in Amsterdam at the consulate, I could take this with me the same day. They did this for people who then came from further afield. How does this work in The Hague? Same day service, by post, or do you have to go back a second time in person?

Unexpectedly and without any publicity, the Thai entry policy has been relaxed a bit again in the past week. This extension means good news for holders of a non-O visa with a valid period of stay ('extension of stay') and a re-entry permit. Until now, they could only return to Thailand if they were married to a Thai or had a child with Thai nationality. So that has changed. If you meet the visa requirements, you can apply for a Certificate of Entry online via coethailand.mfa.go.th
