What we would like to know is whether it is necessary to provide an e-ticket for the return flight with the documents for the visa? is it ok to show only the outbound e-ticket? Because we want to book a return ticket later.

With a Tourist visa, a return flight / onward flight ticket is usually requested. With a Non-immigrant visa, a single flight is normally sufficient.
