Questioner: Hank

Does the annual statement that you can download from AOW pension count as proof of income for applying for a non-O visa?

I do not know what evidence The Hague will accept, but I suspect that if it meets the following criteria, it will be accepted.

“Financial evidence eg bank statement, proof of earnings, sponsorship letter

The submitted financial evidence must be able to show sufficient means of subsistence for a person to stay abroad. The recommended minimum amount is 1,000 EUR/30 days of stay in Thailand.”

Perhaps there are readers who may or may not confirm this.

I recently applied for and received a new visa at the embassy in The Hague. At first I had only uploaded the annual statements of my pension and AOW. However, that turned out not to be enough. I received a message that a statement from my bank was also necessary. Indicating my name, address, and account balances.

      Dear James,

Does that have to be a statement, or is a current account statement also sufficient?

      I'm with ING

Good question, because at first I didn't know what exactly was meant by statement. I have the SNS as a bank. I printed all transactions from the last month as a PDF using the Mijn SNS app. Of course, that also includes the deposits of my 2 pensions and the AOW. I also printed an overview of my recent balances. I have 2 checking accounts and a savings account. It also clearly stated my name and address. I hope that ING also offers these possibilities. It's time to find out. Good luck.

In my opinion, a bank statement, literally translated, is just a bank statement
[with name, address, and account balances]

The info from the Thai Embassy in BERLIN writes very clearly:

Financial evidence (A copy of pension statement OR a copy of 1-month bank statement
showing your income from pension, or 3-month bank statement of at least EUR 5.000)
