Questioner: Rudiger

I have some questions about converting an ”extension of stay” based on retirement to an “extension of stay” based on mariage.

I went to the immigration office in Korat and they gave me some documents. Two documents for my wife in Thai plus a list of what is needed also in Thai. Also 2 documents, an STM 2 and a TM 7.

Now I would like to ask you which documents do I need? I know of some, such as income, bank statement, photos of residence, copy of passport, but I think I'm still missing some.

Can you help me with this one?

I made another TB Immigration Info Brief about it last month. It's what I had to deliver in Kanchanaburi but won't be much different in Korat I think. I have used the bank amount, but income is also possible of course.

A witness may need to be present at an initial application, but it may also be that they only need to be present during the home visit. Preferably someone who knows you well. Also make sure your wife is there.

If something is not entirely clear, please let me know.

Success.
