Questioner: Freddy

If we wish to emigrate to Thailand later (at the end of this year), I, as a Belgian, have 3 options:

  1. Non immigrant visa O Marriage.
  2. Non immigrant visa O Retried.
  3. Non immigrant visa OA.

The latter seems to me the most difficult, also because of compulsory hospitalization insurance.

If I go for an O Marriage:

  1. How long is it valid (60 days or 90 days)?
  2. Extension only to 1 year?
  3. Also extendable afterwards?
  4. Plane ticket, can that be a one-way ticket?

Thanks for your help.

If you choose the Non-Immigrant O Thai Marriage Single entry.

1. The validity period of the visa is 3 months. The period of stay that you get with that visa on entry is 90 days.

Validity period and residence period are two different things.

– Validity period of the visa refers to the period that you have time to enter Thailand after issuance. Once in this case. Expressed in months

– Period of stay is the length of stay that you receive upon entry with that visa. Expressed in days.

2. You can extend this 90-day stay by one year, provided you meet the requirements for an annual extension.

3. You can repeat this annual extension every year.

4. Yes you can. You emigrate, so why should you have to prove a return flight.
