Questioner: Jos M

I have been living in Thailand for 3 years now on a marriage visa and extension. Always with the NL visa support letter.. what a word… My pension and AOW have been increased to such an extent since January that I could now retire. But am I also obliged to bring in 65.000 baht to Thailand every month?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

If your immigration office does not ask for additional proof when you use it to prove the financial side of a Thai Marriage, it will not when you use it to prove the financial side of a Retirement.

Visa support letter is indeed a mouthful. The child must have a name, of course. Maybe a fun one for Scrabble fans? But actually something else strikes me. That letter has now been around for more than 5 years and, contrary to your Dutch custom, the word has not yet been replaced by an abbreviation. “VOB” or something like that. “Just add a “VOB” to the application and you're done”.

Or am I giving you an idea? 😉
