Questioner: French

I am staying in Thailand with a Non-O multiple entry visa based on marriage. My 3 month stay will expire in 3 weeks so I intend to apply for an extension on a retirement basis in good time, meet all conditions (Finance, TM30).

Our marriage is only registered in the Netherlands, which is why retirement is easier for me. After 3 months I will be able to report my first 90 days and submit the financial documents that there are still more than THB 800.000 parked in my account and the money comes from foreign transfers. Will therefore apply for a single re-entry. But after that I will leave for the Netherlands for 4-5 months.

Of course I can't make the 90 day notification. How does this continue? Does my re-entry expire and do I have to do everything again upon return (so with my still valid Non-O visa) or am I seeing this wrong?

A 90 day notification is a confirmation of your whereabouts. Must be performed by the foreigner during any 90-day period of uninterrupted residence in Thailand.

If you leave Thailand, that count will stop because it will no longer be an uninterrupted stay. It then starts counting again from 1 the day you enter Thailand again.

“If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case.”  https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1666

When you return, you will again receive the end date of your annual extension through that re-entry. Of course, come back before your annual extension is up.

90 days after receipt, you must then submit your address report again.
