I am currently staying with a NON-IMMIGRANT O single entry in Jomtien for 90 days until February 25, 2024. I would like to extend this period by 30 days. Is this possible or should I do a border run or is there another solution?

I'm afraid 30 days won't work in this case. Only with a year as Retired (if you were married to a Thai, 60 days might be possible).
“Border run” is then the only solution and back to Visa exemption.
You could extend the 30-day Visa exemption by another 30 days if you wanted to.
