Reader Submission: New Hua Hin – Bangkok direct bus
A tip for readers who are not yet aware of it. There is now also a daily direct bus connection to Bangkok in Hua Hin.
The ride costs 158 baht and runs twice a day at 9.00:15.00 AM and XNUMX:XNUMX PM. You can get on at the same bus station where you take the bus to Suvarnabhumi.
A handy alternative for those who don't like to take the minivan and also cheaper (and safer)!
Submitted by Ron
Dear Ron, can you tell me where in Bangkok this new 158 baht bus goes?
Dear Richard,
The bus leaves Hua Hin at the soi 96 bus station and stops in Bangkok at Mo Chit, which is where the large weekend market is (Chatuchak).
http://www.sombattour.com
The bus station is located on 96 th street in Hua Hin, where the bus station is located.
According to Edje's link, the terminus in Bangkok is at Vibhavadi.
Can't quite place it on google maps.
But it looks like you need a taxi to get to the BTS or MRT.
Unfortunately!
It is equally easy and shorter to take the minivan to Hua Hin at Victory monument or travel by train.
Enough choice!
Short and sweet – You should stay away from any Minivan.
A bus is a good alternative.
The distance Bangkok-Hua hi takes too long by train.
That is good news! I will definitely use it!
Dear readers :

– Traveling by bus from Hua Hin (blue air-conditioned buses)
For many years a direct bus leaves Hua Hin – Bangkok many times a day. These depart more often than twice a day.
Sombat is a tour bus to ChiangMai and has its own separate bus stand near Mochit2 - I guess it's just filling in some empty spots from HHin to there.
The big bus Ger mentions has declined very much since the vans are driving - because it ends up in that distant and even more taxi mafia-infested SaiThai (a grand and now half-empty building of another red Taksin faithful). Then you are even further from ”centre” BKK as MOchit.
I don't know where you get your information. But Sai Tai is much more modern, much cleaner, and better organized than Mo'Chit. All buses depart and arrive from Sai Tai towards the South, most of those buses first stop in Mo'Chit and then continue to Sai Tai.
How I know day. I come to Sai Tai monthly to pick up my in-laws who live in Krabi, that's why I know that the buses from the south stop in Mo'Chit to drop people off.
Tip:
if you want a smooth train connection from Hua Hin to Bangkok, you can take the 4.01 pm train.
which arrives at 7.45 pm in Bangkok
You can get off earlier at Bang Sue junction, arrival 19.20 pm
From Bang Sue you can take the metro almost opposite the train station.
You are then quickly in the center or wherever you want to be.
I travel a little further than from Hua Hin and have only good experiences
I'm talking specifically about the 4.01:XNUMX pm train, a smooth connection.
Average delay is approximately 15-20 minutes.
