When it is hot – and at the moment it is really hot in Thailand – you cool off in the water. You can go to the beach and take a dip in the sea or go to a swimming pool at your hotel or Pattaya Park. A special opportunity is to visit the new Splashdown Waterpark.

Splashdown Waterpark is an amusement park for big kids and adults with all kinds of exciting water-related adventures. The eight attractions in the park are based on the popular American TV series Wipe Out, which has also been broadcast in a Dutch version.

For example, you can try to walk on the water via 8 large balls, there is a giant inflatable slide of 15 meters high, what about the giant ball in which you roll 70 meters down a mountain and there are 5 other challenges to play with the family or a group of friends to have a nice afternoon. For small children there is a special water pool with a slide, so that no one in the family has to be bored.

The attractions are spectacular and do involve a certain amount of risk. However, the safety of the players is paramount. Each participant is required to be equipped with a helmet, life jacket and safety shoes. There is sufficient staff at each attraction to intervene in the event of an "emergency".

Splashdown Waterpark is located on Highway 36 towards Rayong at the Bira car circuit. Costs are 1500 Baht per person if you use the attractions, 200 Baht if you just watch and enjoy a drink in the bar. Children under 10 years have free entry. Not really cheap, but if you live in Thailand you get a discount and if you come with a group a discount is also negotiable. In addition, pick up and drop off from hotel or home is free.
