The Meteorological Department thinks the summer storms with rain and strong winds will last until Tuesday. The residents of Bangkok, Central Plains, North, Northeast, East and South will have to deal with even more rain.
The season for summer storms has arrived and 41 provinces will be affected between Tuesday and Friday, Chayaphon Thitisak, head of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department (DPMD), warned.
Stormy weather is also expected in Thailand today
Thunderstorms, rain and strong winds are expected in almost all of Thailand today. Parts of the North, Northeast and Central Thailand had already experienced heavy weather yesterday, which caused damage. Chiang Rai and Nan were hit by hailstorms, trees blew down in tambon Sansai (Chiang Rai).
Hard rain and wind in South Thailand in the coming days
The Meteorological Department has warned residents of ten counties in the southern Central Plains and South to expect heavy rains and strong winds in the coming days. This can lead to flooding.
