Tap water on ration in Pattaya
It has been quite a hectic event in Pattaya and the surrounding area lately. One prohibition stumbles over another prohibition. After last Thursday's chaotic lockdown to close several roads, a new system has now been devised. Large signs with red arrows indicate in Thai which places are control points.
The authorities of Chon Buri province want to build a pipeline in the sea to pump water from the mainland to the island. Koh Larn (Ko Lan), is an island off the coast of Pattaya and is suffering from a serious water shortage.
Protection of water supply Pattaya and Jomtien
At the head of Lake Chaknork, near Wat Samakee Pracharam, a major restoration operation is underway to protect the water supply for Pattaya and Jomtien.
