I have a question about the navigation system in the car. Recently bought a Mazda CX30 2.0 SP which is a wonderful car by the way.
Before using the navigation system, the Mazda dealer explains that I have to connect my iPHONE via USB connection and then activate “Google maps” on my iPHONE in order to use the navigation system.
Reader question: Garmin or Tomtom?
I want to buy a navigation system for when I rent a car in Thailand. I choose a somewhat more expensive model with lifelong map update. Now I have the choice of Garmin or Tom-Tom. Which of the two works best in Thailand and especially in the Isaan?
Reader question: SD card for car navigation
I have a new Mazda, but find the SD card for navigation rather expensive (over 17.000 THB!). Is there anyone who can make a clone of the road maps for Thailand? Of course against payment. Or another idea?
I want to purchase a navigation system in the Netherlands, for example a TomTom or Garmin. I mainly use this in Europe, but also in Thailand. Which do you recommend?
We have arrived in Thailand, in Chiang Mai. Now we thought it would be easy to use Google maps, the offline version, but it doesn't seem to work.
Reader question: Who has experience with Waze navigation in Thailand?
Does anyone have experience with Google's free GPS navigation app, Waze? I use it a lot in Europe, and will be going back to Thailand soon. I'd love to use it there too. Especially now that I read very mixed reactions here on the forum about TomTom.
Who can tell me about his/her experience with TomTom maps of Thailand? As far as I know, TomTom does not have a separate Thailand package, but a combined package with other countries in South-East Asia.
Are there Thailand enthusiasts who have experience with a smartphone app navigation for bicycles in Thailand? If so, I am very curious about the experiences.
Reader question: Who has experience with Sygid navigation?
Who can give me advice about a good navigation system in Thailand? I now use google maps. That navigation in itself is fine and even in Dutch. But the reference to addresses is not correct. I just end up in completely different locations.
