Is Amanda Obdam a real Thai?
Thailand's Amanda Chalisa Obdam may not have won a Miss Universe 2020 Crown last week, but the debate over her Thai identity was reignited.
Miss Universe Universe 2020 with Dutch blood
You may have seen it on television in Thailand or read it elsewhere that Chalisa Amanda Obdam, a 27-year-old Thai-Canadian model from Phuket, was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2020 last Saturday.
Miss Universe 2017 is not from Thailand, the Netherlands or Belgium
It was quite a shock of disappointment to hear from the (international) press today that neither Nicky Opheij from the Netherlands nor Liesbeth Claus from Belgium were crowned Miss Universe 2017. The other participants from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, namely Alina Mansur from Aruba and Nashaira from Curaçao, were also not involved.
Unfortunately, the Thai Chalita 'Nong Namtan' Suansane did not become Miss Universe 2016 in Manila, that title went to 23-year-old Iris Mittenaere, a dental student from France.
The Thai Chalita 'Nong Namtan' Suansane may be crowned Miss Universe 2016 tomorrow in Manila. Today people can still vote for her and even the Thai government is calling for it to be done.
Miss Universe Thailand 2016 and the winner is…
The prestigious title of Miss Universe Thailand 2016 has gone to Chalita “Namtan” Suansane. She was crowned the most beautiful Thai in the universe on Saturday evening at Siam Paragon in Bangkok, at least for a year.
Miss Thailand again no Miss Universe
The whole of Thailand was anxiously awaiting the result of the Miss Universe 2015 election last Sunday. All expats and tourists were also curious, because Thailand certainly has the most beautiful girls in the world!

Miss Universe Thailand wants to be eaten
