Walk through a remote corner of Manila and suddenly stand in front of a window face to face with a large number of statues representing the Lord Jesus and many acquaintances from his life. The whole thing comes across as rather kitschy and when I look at it I can't suppress a smile.

Comparing both cities or countries with each other is impossible and I will not do it. Nor can you compare Amsterdam with Brussels. Every country and every city has charming features, but you have to want to see them. With flight TG624 from Bangkok I land in Manila after more than three hours of flying. Despite the very first rule, I am already going to make a comparison regarding the airport taxi phenomenon.
