Bangkok, Thailand's bustling capital, is known for its lively streets, rich culture and impressive architecture. But the city is also undergoing a green transformation, with new parks popping up in the urban landscape.
Bangkok and the mighty 375 km long Chao Phraya River are inextricably linked. The river splits Bangkok into two parts and is also called the lifeblood of the city. The Chao Phraya is therefore also known as the "River of Kings". This river, rich in history and culture, has an impressive flow and a vital economic function, although it is also known for its flooding.

Bangkok, officially known as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, is the capital of Thailand and has the highest population density. The metropolis occupies a total area of about 1.569 square kilometers on the Chao Phraya River delta in Central Thailand.

Ultimately, of course, people want to go to the beaches, but the cosmopolitan city of Bangkok is a 'must see'. There is so much to see in Krung Thep that you have to make a choice.
In recent months, in a series of contributions, I have reflected on a number of Western writers who in one way or another had a connection with the Thai capital. As the last in this list, I would like to take a moment to reflect on this city.
