I'm leaving for Thailand again in February and also want to go to Isaan for a few days up to a week. I have already booked a flight to Udon Thani from Bangkok, but would really like to receive tips regarding my next route.
New mega shopping malls in Isaan
There are ambitious plans in Isaan that will be implemented next year. In Nakhon Ratchasima also known as Korat, two large shopping malls will be opened on Mittraphap Road. These are not inferior to the chic shopping malls in Bangkok.

We are going to Thailand in December, we have been to Thailand several times and we have visited many places. But we have never really started to travel around in the Isaan.
To get where you want to go by public transport in Isaan, you apparently have to do a lot of puzzling or take a trip to a larger city to get from there to the "smaller" town/village? Who has tips for us?
My girlfriend and I would like to build/buy a house or condo. She would like that in Isaan close to her parents so that if they become disabled she can help. But I don't feel like living in the Isaan, I'm afraid I'm going to get bored there.
