Reader question: Legalization of an income statement
I live about 100 km northeast of Nong Khai and then traveling to Bangkok for the legalization of an income statement is a lot of work and I think many like me on this Blog have the same problem.
In recent years I have neatly extended my “retirement” visa through a bank credit of 800,000. Now see to my horror that I do not meet the required 3 months of sufficient balance.
The SVB Roermond refuses to send the life certificate and income statement to its customers by e-mail. This will be done by post in the future. With, for us, all the nasty consequences given the quality of the Thai Postal Service.
I have been living in Chiang Mai for three years now and will be moving to Hua Hin in September. Renewed my retirement visa every year at the immigration office in Chiang Mai. All documents submitted, including the income statement from the Dutch embassy in Bangkok. Additional income statements are not required.
I have approached the embassy via email about the income statement. They inform me that I need a fully certified salary statement in English and advise me to contact the organization that provides my income. These organizations are ABP and SVB.
Reader question: Who has experience with the “Transfer of Pension Verification Form” in Thailand?
A reader reported via a PM that in Nong Khai, since this year, additional proof is required for the extension of a retiree mind visa. When applying for an extension, one must now fill in a “Transfer of Pension Verification Form” if one proves one's financial means by means of an income from a pension. Who also has experience with this?
Thailand visa question & answer: Do you indeed have to transfer the amount of your income statement to Thailand?
You must have an income of 65.000 thb per month to be eligible for a residence visa based on pension. Or 800.000 thb in the bank, or a combination of income and bank balance. But I have no savings to deposit in a Thai bank.
Reader question: Income statement for emigration Thailand
I have gone through town and country to get my income statement from the Apeldoorn tax authorities (which I need for emigration to Thailand) translated into English. The IRS says it can't take care of it.
Reader question: Can I go to the Austrian consulate in Pattaya for income statements?
Some time ago I read something about the issuing of income statements by the Austrian Consulate in Pattaya. If so, then a trip to BKK is not necessary.
Does anyone know how long an income statement is valid for immigration to Thailand?
News: embassy handles income statement (again) by post (1)
First of all, the good news, after a visit to the consular section of the embassy in Bangkok: Dutch citizens can now obtain the statement of income required to apply for a retirement visa at the Thai immigration service by post. That saves a drink on a drink if applicants do not have to travel in person to Bangkok or the consulates in Phuket and Chiang Mai. The recently appointed ambassador Joan Boer has faced the problems after his arrival …
