While enjoying a snack, drink with acquaintances, a Thai style house came into view, made an offer, 10 months later message: "when your offer is still standing, the house is yours". Thus we became homeowners in Hua Hin. The house is in a unique location, but we felt we had to adapt it slightly.

I bought land in February in Mea Fak (30 km above Chiang Mai), construction started on March 1 and finished on April 4. House costs 600.000 baht. Upstairs 2 bedrooms, toilet and shower plus kitchen (small). Downstairs shower and toilet.

The indoor surface is: 174 m². Expanded covered, including parking space for 2 cars and an outdoor kitchen is: 142 m². So a total construction area of 316 m². The house is supported by 22 cm prestressed concrete piles. Under the floors is a crawl space with a pipe system for insect prevention. Walls are double, with a cavity, for insulation and sufficient ventilation, so a dry house. Bracing roof construction with SCG roof tiles. Painted with rot and mold resistant ICI paints.

This is mine in Hua Hin, 2 km from the beach, bungalow of 240 m² on 650 m² of land next to a pond. Not a Thai style house and no Thai decor, but a Mediterranean style with terracotta terraces and terracotta flower pots for a tropical atmosphere.
