Phuket International Airport welcomes Grab and other taxi apps
Phuket International Airport has taken a major step in modernizing its transportation options by approving the use of Grab taxis and other ride-sharing apps. Director Monchai Tanode revealed that several app developers, including Grab and Asia Cab, have applied for licenses. The new scheme not only benefits travelers, but also takes measures to increase safety and tackle illegal taxi operations.
Singapore-based super-app Grab Holdings, Southeast Asia's leading ride-hailing and food delivery app, announces the layoff of 1.000 employees, representing 11% of its total workforce, its CEO said on Tuesday.
