A Thai friend is on holiday here and stayed with a friend in Roosendaal who also acts as guarantor (now here with us). After an argument, she secretly copied the data and rebooked her plane ticket without her knowledge from October 5 to next week September 3. I don't think this is allowed and how can I reverse this. Is this a criminal offense or not?

Can someone just cancel the guarantee, for example because of an argument? A friend of my wife is here in the Netherlands and an acquaintance guarantees, now he wants to stop this because she is not acting to his liking.

In a few months I would like to invite my boyfriend for a short 10-day holiday in Belgium. I have read the Schengen file but I am not sure what the best option is. Either my friend can show his own bank statements or I have to stand surety. My friend always has an average of between thirty and forty thousand baht in his bank account.

Mother and eldest brother of my Thai girlfriend (living with me in NL), would like to come on holiday in the Netherlands for 1 week at the end of the year. Do you know what procedure they have to follow to obtain a Schengen visa? The Thai family is wealthy. Is it easier for me to stand before their manager, or is it easier for them to prove that they have enough money (I thought something like at least € 34 per day).

I want to bring my Thai girlfriend to the Netherlands for 90 days, but I'm not sure how to go about this? I do not meet the income requirement as I have had a serious accident and have therefore been rejected. Actually, I'm a bit confused about how to handle this now? Would anyone here be willing to help me with that?

I would like to have my Thai girlfriend come to the Netherlands this summer to show me what it is like here. Only I'm on welfare. And I wonder if this is a problem with regard to the warranty statement. Since I don't think it's wise to transfer a large amount to her.

I met a Thai girl online, and after several months of contact, I went on holiday in Thailand to meet her. This went well. Now we want to spend 3 months together in the Netherlands on the basis of a tourist visa (Schengen visa). She currently has virtually no money (only for day to day food) and no job. She indicates that this is a problem, because when applying for a visa, the Thai government will think that she is going to flee to seek her happiness elsewhere. However, if she has around 2.000 euros (in Baht) in her account and can prove it, the Thai government will know she has something to come back to and issue a visa more quickly.

To act as a guarantor for someone, you apparently need a few bank statements to prove that you have enough salary. Now my question is should I transfer these extracts to the city council, which will then forward them to the foreign affairs department. Or do these extracts have to be sent to the person I have brought over. However, I see some privacy issues with the latter option.

My girlfriend has received a multiple entry visa and I have a question about it. I understand that travel insurance must be taken out for every planned trip to the Netherlands, but what about the guarantee form? Do I have to re-submit it for every trip?

I would like to invite my Thai friend for a visit of 3 weeks in Belgium. I have read the Schengen file on this site and I wish to act as guarantor. In order to be able to act as a guarantor, you must of course have sufficient financial resources. I have no income from work, I am neither a wage earner nor a support recipient, but I do have enough euros in the bank.

My girlfriend has been with me about six times for about three months with a schengen visa, no problem. The last time she had received a visa for 3 years, of course subject to the applicable rules for a maximum of 3 months. But that has now almost expired, when she goes back to Thailand next month she will have to renew her passport.

My Thai girlfriend is working on a Schengen visa for a month through an office in Chiang Mai. They suddenly ask that she must have Baht 60.000 in her bank account in the unlikely event that something happens in the Netherlands, so that she can pay for it. Thought I'm responsible for that? In addition, she has a medical insurance of course for those months.
