Schengen visa question: Do I have to complete a new proof of sponsorship/accommodation?
My wife has a Schengen visa for 1 year with multiple entries, called multiple entry. She has already used her 1 day entry once. At passport control you were asked for her legalized invitation form, which you had to have legalized at the municipality.
I have known my partner for a long time and she has been to the Netherlands several times for 2 or 3 weeks of holiday. She always requests a visa for the period she is in the Netherlands.
I read on the Belgian website of the FPS IBZ that the financial condition for becoming a guarantor has changed. The minimum amount of 800 euros has increased to 2.048,53 euros! I suspect this will be a problem for many.
Going to Belgium with my Thai wife, is a declaration of responsibility (guarantee) necessary?

Schengen visa question: Complete form proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation
When completing the proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation forms, I am not sure what to fill in at question 1.7 Marital status?

If you have proof of sufficient income (as a guarantor) when applying for a Schengen visa for a girlfriend, is an employer's statement no longer necessary? The site only states 3 pay slips and an employment contract, longer than 12 months. Nowhere is (more) mentioned about an employer's statement.
Schengen visa question: Schengen visa application for my Thai wife and bank statements
I am in the process of applying for a Schengen visa for my Thai wife. This will be her 4th visit. She has an appointment at VFS Global on January 9. I now discover that the checklist for visa application/Visiting family or friends has changed slightly: question 5.3 bank statements of the last 3 months is missing. And indeed, in your last Schengen visa file I did not come across this subject anymore.
