Questioner: Jan Does anyone have experience (good or bad) with the VFS e-extension and what is the process for collecting your extension? RonnyLatYa's response - I have no experience with it myself because the extension I want is not yet possible via e-extension. Retirement of Thai Marriage is therefore not possible. If I look at it this way, any extension that requires financial proof is not yet possible. https://thaiextension.vfsevisa.com/document-information …

I have a 60-day e-visa from Thai Consulate in NL and now want to extend it for 30 days. Please note that you can now also do this electronically via the VFS-GLOBAL 'Official authorized partner of the Immigration Bureau of Thailand etc.' website.
Schengen visa question: New rules for VFS Global in Bangkok?
Today 07/12 we went back to VFS Global with a friend for a Schengen visa for the Netherlands, nice and quiet, so that went smoothly today. Unfortunately, after 45 minutes she comes out saying she needs a copy of my passport, new rule? Can be made at a desk opposite, I have a copy on my phone. First register with their Line account, photo sent, okay, 45 thb.

State of the Consular Edition 2022
In this article we highlight the visa policy and the issuing of Schengen visas by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the year 2021.
Lately a lot has been written about the application for the Schengen visa and in particular the slow processing and more rejections than usual. I would like to share my experience with the application procedure below (maybe it will help people).
Minister Hoekstra answers questions about long waiting times when applying for a Schengen visa for the Netherlands
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wopke Hoekstra, has answered the written questions of MP Piri (PvdA) about the long waiting times when applying for a Schengen visa for the Netherlands in a letter.
The reports of long waiting times for an appointment with the external service provider VFS Global, which has been appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to collect and check Schengen visa application forms, have also reached other websites. Schengenvisum.info writes that waiting times for an appointment can be as long as 3 to 5 months. Complaints come mainly from Suriname, Thailand and Senegal (Gambia), but this may also be the case elsewhere in the world.
I would like to say something about VFS Global regarding a visa application. My sister-in-law with her 12-year-old child intends to come to the Netherlands for 1 month. We thought it would be a good idea to send her to VFS Global to help her with the requested forms. They cannot manage this on their own and need help.
I am going to file a complaint with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the too long waiting time for an appointment at the Thai office of VFS Global to submit a Schengen visa application for the Netherlands (Unit 404 and 405, The Plaza 4th Floor, Chamchuri Square Building, Phaya Thai Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand).
I am Huub and I am regularly with my partner in Udon Thani. I read up on the possibility of taking her to the Netherlands on a honeymoon and to meet my family. Not a sinecure, but I'm going to try it anyway.
In response to a question about the rejection of a Schengen visa, Rob V. made inquiries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands. It is unclear whether the temporary arrangement for long-distance loved ones still applies, now that fully vaccinated Thais are allowed to travel to the Netherlands with a valid vaccination certificate.
As a result of the corona crisis, the Netherlands has closed its Visa Application Centers until further notice. All appointments for a visa application from March 18, 2020 will be cancelled.
I am leaving for Thailand in mid-March and I also need to apply for a new Schengen visa for my Thai girlfriend. She has visited the Netherlands several times and received a visa, the last time it was valid until the end of the passport, which meant that she was fine for 4 years.
Since 2 Feb 2020 it should be possible to apply for a Schengen visa electronically (via the internet). Passport must of course still be sent by post, but if the fingerprints have already been issued before, that would save a trip to Bangkok.
Schengen visa question: Visa for my Thai wife
My Thai wife and I are going to Belgium for 2 weeks in May to visit family and then also visit some other Schengen countries. Recently there was an article here that showed that a visa for a Thai married to a Belgian or Dutch person would be free and would also entail much less paperwork. However, I can't find any more information about this. Is there a guide or article on this? Do I no longer have to go through VFS?
Reader Submission: Got a Schengen visa quickly
Last Monday an article was posted here about the application for a Schengen visa for my wife's daughter, that the application form had to be completed digitally, fortunately she had done that too.
Schengen visa question: Schengen visa application for my Thai wife and bank statements
I am in the process of applying for a Schengen visa for my Thai wife. This will be her 4th visit. She has an appointment at VFS Global on January 9. I now discover that the checklist for visa application/Visiting family or friends has changed slightly: question 5.3 bank statements of the last 3 months is missing. And indeed, in your last Schengen visa file I did not come across this subject anymore.
Schengen visa question: Appointment VFS Global in Bangkok
Who can help me? I have been trying for several days now to get an appointement in Bangkok for a visa for my girlfriend
to come to Belgium. All documents have been completed. But it turns out it is not possible to make an appointment date and time on the VFS Global site. From 21/12/2019 until the whole month of January 2020, all boxes are colored white. This means that these days cannot be reserved.
My wife and I want to bring her daughter to the Netherlands for a holiday next year for 2 months. Is it wiser to wait with the visa application until after February 2 or not? Because I understood that after February 2nd you could do it online except for the fingerprints. But before then you have to go to VFS, and there is a kind of interrogation there, which may lead to a rejection sooner.
Reader submission: A Schengen visa for a visit to Belgium
Here's my story about getting a Schengen visa and a golden tip. It is March 3, 2019 when we arrive at the VFS Global office in Bangkok where you can apply for a Schengen visa.
