Question to general practitioner Maarten: A lot of pain during wound dressing after fistula surgery
Have one more little question for you. Is it normal that I experience so much pain during the treatment and especially when they insert the gauze? I'm quite used to pain, 2 heavy back operations spondolysis and stuck on l4 l5, cluster headache and that Aneurysm operation, but this takes the cake.

I was helped last Monday with a fistula, which I suffered from on Saturday and could hardly sit with it on Sunday. Monday to the hospital and 3 hours later I was on the operating table. My question is, I get changed every day 2 times which is normal, but a gauze is also put in the wound. Very painful. Can you tell me how long that will take? Don't you think it's fun and the whole healing is that a long road?
