Last Wednesday she called me from work, my wife. Could I go to 'mom's house by 16.00 pm? Together we would then drive to a temple somewhere in Bangkok because prayers had to be said at 19.00 pm. The reason? Her cousin, a soldier, 40 years old, had been mercilessly shot with three bullets. The how and why remains somewhat unclear to me. But after one night in intensive care, her cousin died and we had to pray.

Does anyone have an idea if in Pattaya everything will be closed with the cremation of the king? I want to book my flight on October 26. I want to go to the Grand Palace in Bangkok next week to see all the preparations for King Bhumibol's cremation. I have black clothes with me. I hear that there are about 10-20.000 visitors a day to visit the cremation site, so long waiting times. Does anyone know what I should take into account in terms of waiting time? Have the opening hours been adjusted, or just from 8:30 a.m. to 15:30 p.m.?

I would like some advice regarding the cremation of the deceased king of Thailand. I am planning a month trip around September 26 to October 26, 2017 (Pattaya).
