One of the most popular events organized every year towards the end of the rainy season is the Buffalo Race in Chonburi city. This city is located between Bangkok and Pattaya. The races have a history that goes back more than 100 years and mark an important tradition in Thailand. The festivities coincide with the end of Buddhist Lent.
