I am registered in Thailand as a tax resident and have also paid tax. All papers about the payment, the assessment and the “tax liability declaration country of residence” with beautiful stamps and the normal data about me in Thailand such as copies of visa, passport, yellow book, embassy statement that I am resident in Thailand and the like. Now Heerlen also wants an “income tax payment certificate: RO21”.

Live in Thailand as of 2011. Near Udon Thani. Have completely deregistered in the Netherlands. I have now received 'Statement Exemption from Wage Tax' twice without any problem. The third application should be submitted shortly. The forms for the application require proof that I am considered a tax resident in Thailand, which proof cannot be older than one year. How do I get such proof?

I am trying to get an exemption from payroll tax for my pension benefit. Now I have been to the Tax Office in ChiangRai to have the form 'declaration of tax liability in the country of residence' signed, because without this form your application in Heerlen will not be processed. To my surprise, I was told by the employee in question that they cannot sign this form. As soon as my pension comes in, I can report again to pay income tax in Thailand.

I paid double tax for my state pension for 5 years in the Netherlands and Thailand. The Dutch tax authorities write, I have to pay taxes in the Netherlands, it is a treaty between the Netherlands and Thailand. The Thai tax authorities say, I have to pay taxes here, everyone pays taxes. I have already engaged a lawyer in Thailand, nobody knows anything about a treaty between the Netherlands and Thailand. How do I get that treaty in Thai?

I was recently at the tax office in Chiang Mai for information about paying taxes in Thailand. The employee has calculated that from 2012 (5 years) I will have to pay tax in Thailand on my state pension (January 2012 to December 2016). In the Netherlands, payroll tax has already been paid on my state pension during this period. So I paid taxes twice.

I want to live in Thailand on December 1, 2017. I know it has been discussed here several times, ABP remains taxable in the Netherlands. According to Heerlen, this only applies to state pensions from the ABP and not to occupational pensions. I do think that civil servants are covered by state pensions. Does anyone know from experience whether municipal civil servants also fall under the state pension? I don't get a satisfactory answer from Heerlen and the ABP says that matters to Heerlen. Heerlen says if you live there permanently you can request an exemption, but if municipal officials fall under state pension, that has no chance in my opinion.

It will take a while, but Thailand has already made preparations to join the Common Reporting Standard at the beginning of this year. The OECD has developed the CRS and with it agreements have been made about the automatic exchange of financial data of individuals and organizations in accordance with the so-called Common Reporting Standard (CRS). This concerns, for example, exchange of account balances, dividend income and the proceeds from the sale of securities.

I am a Dutch seafarer employed by a Dutch shipping company. Married to a Thai and living in Thailand in our own home. Have been deregistered GBA in the Netherlands. Now, when I applied to the Tax and Customs Administration for an exemption from payroll taxes, my employer received the answer that this was unfortunately not possible. But is this true? Can I object to this with the Tax and Customs Administration?
