This story takes you to Thailand, a destination rich in culture, nature and surprises, where the holiday for the undersigned became a series of unforeseen events. Fueled by gallons of coffee and unintentional sleepless nights, I've shared these adventures before. Yet sometimes the real chaos begins long before the exotic destination is reached, such as in the kerosene-scented halls of Schiphol, where even a simple visit to the toilet can take an unexpected turn.

Thailand and the 2016 Olympics
Thailand will be one of more than 100 countries to participate in the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be held in Brazil from August 5 to 21. With the exception of 1980 (Moscow), Thailand has had a continuous presence at the Summer Olympics since 1952.
Asian Games: Twice gold, but athletes disappoint
