Reader Submission: COE | Apply for a Certificate of Entry at the Thai Embassy in The Hague
Last Wednesday morning I applied for a COE a total of 5 times for me and the family. Through the articles on Thailandblog I started with a good preparation, so that I could quickly upload the right documents (visa, special insurance, etc.) on the website of the Thai government.
I'm going to Bangkok for the first time in August. Is it possible that my Thai girlfriend can see me (from a distance) before I am taken to the ASQ?
Reader Submission: No CoE for Phuket Sandbox
Attached is the latest information from yesterday morning 10.00 AM NL time. It is clear that the organization is failing again. No Certificates of Entry are awarded so no one can go to Phuket and it is another “pipe dream”.
I am fully vaccinated with Pfizer. However, the certificate of vaccination from the GGD states comirnaty, the active substance. According to the GGD, this is because Pfizer is a brand name.

You read a lot about the measures that must be taken by us as a visitor to Thailand. But what are the total costs if you want to go to Bangkok? So with visa, testing, Covid insurance, hotel, etc. (without plane ticket).

Unfortunately, it is not possible for Dutch people to get a Certificate of Entry (CoE) for the Phuket Sandbox for the time being.
I have a question, if you have had Covid in the Netherlands and have antibodies in your blood, you will receive 1 vaccination (kind of boost). But now I have the following, will you enter Thailand with that when the time comes for it to open again? Or is this looking into a crystal ball?
A friend told me that Pattaya will open in October to foreigners who are fully vaccinated. Does anyone know if that's correct? And what are the conditions then? Can I book a flight ticket in advance?
Reader question: Long distance relationships during the pandemic and back to the Netherlands
Until 2018 I went to the Netherlands every year for 2 to 3 months. So not in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic, you can go, but going back will be very difficult, given the conditions. Now my question, how do you solve this?
Can my Thai girlfriend (actually in Thailand at the moment) come to me on Phuket and stay with me at the resort/hotel for these 14 days? She is not on Phuket. Thai people are allowed to travel, but the question is whether they can stay with me for the first 14 days.
I have two questions regarding Sandbox model Phuket as of July 1, 2021. Can you choose a hotel yourself? Is there a list of low covid 19 risk countries that will be admitted?
Reader question: Only vaccinated once and to Thailand?
Yes, finally vaccinated! And now? Had my Pfizer vaccination today. Since I have had CORONA in the last 6 months, so only 1 injection. And now to Thailand? So now some questions arise. I know what people want on Phuket from July 1 and that is not really an option for us yet. But, is one injection considered sufficient by Thailand? Can I get another vaccination injection on request if I ask for it here in the Netherlands, but is this necessary?
I am 72 years old and have had a girlfriend in Thailand for three years. Been here together for a year and would like to go to Thailand in July. Have already been vaccinated twice. I think I fall under category No. 12. My question, do I have to book everything in advance such as flight ticket, covid insurance and quarantine hotel with the risk that I will not receive a CoE or too late?
I would like to read advice and information from those who have experience with it on how best to book a hotel? I am familiar with the entry conditions.

I booked a flight to Phuket on 05/07/2021 (1 stopover in Dubai). Return flight from Bangkok on 03/08/2021. So I will be staying in Thailand for 29 days. What kind of visa application do I need for the CoE Is it free or is there a cost?
