Are you the busy beach life of Pattaya then you don't have to travel very far for a beautiful beach where you can enjoy an oasis of peace. The paradisiacal Toei Ngam Beach is located in the Sattahip district, half an hour's drive from Jomtien.

The name of the beach is derived from the Toei plant (Pandanus kaida Kurz). The beach is owned by the Thai Navy and is well maintained. If you have had enough of the beach, you can visit the adjacent Marine museum.

Toei Ngam Beach, located in Sattahip (Chonburi province) is a breathtaking destination away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Pattaya city. This beautiful crescent-shaped bay is an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty. It's a slice of paradise with its fine, white sand and the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Thailand lapping against the shoreline.

Surrounded by green hills, Toei Ngam Beach is also home to a colorful collection of flora and fauna. The tropical environment, the lush vegetation and the shade of the coconut palms make it a perfect place for relaxation and enjoyment. The beach is maintained by the Royal Thai Navy, and is therefore neat and clean. It offers a range of facilities for visitors, including restaurants serving delicious local dishes and beach chairs for soaking up the sun.

Several attractions can be found in the vicinity of the beach. The beautiful Wat Viharnra Sien, a Chinese temple and museum, and the impressive HTMS Chakri Naruebet, an aircraft carrier owned by the Royal Thai Navy, are some of the highlights. Visitors can also enjoy various activities such as swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the beautiful view. For those feeling a little more adventurous, there are snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities to explore the colorful underwater world.

Toei Ngam Beach is more than just a beach; it is a place where you can appreciate the beauty of nature, experience the warmth of Thai culture, and enjoy a day of rest and relaxation.

The beach is accessible from 06.00:21.00 to 3:XNUMX. You get there by taking Highway No.XNUMX to the Thai Navy Headquarters towards Sattahip. Be sure to check it out, it's worth it.

    Great tip. Thank you

For the golfers among us. There is also a 9 hole golf course at the navy Headquaters camp. There you can play a round of golf without a caddy for a very favorable price. Not a top class course but fine for practice.

    Dear editor,
Do I have a question about this topic?
Have any of you been there and how did you get in there?
I know that on fleet days with the Thai family I was first refused to go on a boat that was only accessible to Thais, then we went to that beach where you were denied access at the entrance of the military area as farang and only Thais could enter.
On my second time I succeeded because I was in the company of a (high) soldier.
Now it may be that changes have taken place after my last visit that it is now possible that I am not aware of.
    Sincerely.

I was also denied a few years ago

This year I have to come to a wedding party nearby. Special access for a farang must be requested

Access there is virtually impossible. Because I was just cheeky, and on the moped, just drove through together with a car, I've been there once. To be clear, I have never driven faster than 20. I crossed the whole area there. Once inside there is not much control anymore. Many soldiers live there. You can have a snack at a stall. Firefighting training equipment is also available. But that was "secret" when I acted a bit stupid and asked what that was. A little further south there are 2 viewpoints. Khao Laem Pu Chao is one of them. The other is a bit higher, and gives a nice view over the harbor. Khao Krom Luang is what I thought it was called. Also lots of monkeys in that area. The way back was fun. I took the southernmost road in that area. And so I got there at the barrier. “Where you go”. Sattahip. “No”. Okay poppy. “No”. A moment of silence. And pointing to the ground: Phom non. Well, I don't know more than a few words of Thai either. The two guards conferred in Thai. Fortunately, they chose the easiest way, and opened the barrier. And under the words "you go" I just left. Who knows what would have happened to me if they were difficult. Later in my room I sat thinking I had taken some risk after all. After all, I had not always been on the paved roads. Even on dirt roads where no one seemed to be driving. At one point I was 50 meters away from several helicopters. That is difficult to explain. If I wanted, I could have touched them. Something in me told me I had better turn around. Later I went there sometimes, but really only went to the viewpoints.

I prefer SAI KAEW Beach. Closer and also at the navy camp.
From the Teco Lotus Jomtien a 15 kilometers.
At the gate, drive the car or motorcycle into the parking lot on the left. Walk to the office and get a pass. Leave ID card or copy. Not a penny of pain. Before the fork to the left to the right some shops and food stalls. There are also the bath buses that drive you to the beach for free on special days.
Otherwise just drive along the mountain coast road to the beach

You can get from Jomtien to Sattahip city (you) with white songtaew on Sukhumvit Rd for 40 baht
BUT getting from there without your own/rental car to that beautiful beach is not possible
or you have to hire a taxi driver who will stay with you all day because you still have to get back

    Take a little drive today.
Think let me have a look at that beach well that doesn't work.
Every road you take there is a checkpoint and you will be sent back.
So it will be a nice beach but as a tourist you will not get there.
