1. Koh Phi Phi Don

Koh Phi Phi Don, the largest of the Phi Phi Islands, is a non-volcanic island composed primarily of limestone. Koh Phi Phi Don, where all visitors arrive by boat, is accessible from Phuket. The island has beautiful beaches and popular diving and snorkeling sites. A large part of the island is a protected nature reserve. The most beautiful beaches at Koh Phi Phi Don are Ao Ton Sai, Maya Bay, Bamboo Island and Koh Phi Phi Le.

2. Koh lanta

Koh Lanta is a great island, where you can definitely find a quiet beach. Koh Lanta is located in Krabi Province, one of the southern provinces of Thailand. You can do fantastic scuba diving here, you will come face to face with exotic sea creatures and beautiful coral reefs. The sunsets are also spectacular, something to enjoy with your loved one over a glass of wine. The most beautiful beaches on Koh Lanta: Long Beach, Kantiang Bay, Lanta Klong Nin Beach and Koh Jum.

3. Koh phangan

Located on the Gulf of Siam, Koh Phangan is a beautiful island with coconut palms and pristine white sand beaches. Every month thousands of young tourists and backpackers flock to the island during the full moon to take part in the legendary 'Full Moon Party'. The Full Moon parties last all night, an unprecedented party with deejays and music on the beach. Three-quarters of the island consists of mountains covered with tropical forest. The most beautiful beaches on Koh Phangan are Thong Nai Pan Noi, Salad Beach, Koh Nang Yuan and Hat Rin.

4. Koh Tao

The name of the palm-fringed island of Koh Tao, in the Gulf of Thailand, is derived from the many sea turtles that live on its beaches. Scuba diving and snorkelling is great here and can even lead to unexpected encounters with blackfin reef sharks, an abundance of tropical fish or a wooden shipwreck. Bustling Sairee Beach is bursting with bars and nightclubs, while the palm-fringed Haad Thien (or Rock Bay) offers peaceful surroundings and relaxation. The most beautiful beaches on Koh Tao are Thian Og Bay, Ao Tanote and Rocky Bay.

5. Kata Beach

Just south of Karon is Kata, a quiet town with two beautiful beaches. Kata Yai is the largest beach. If you are not the type to just lie on the beach, you can rent almost all types of water sports equipment here. Kata Noi, on the other hand, is quieter and smaller, ideal for a lazy day. The most beautiful beaches at Kata Beach are Kata Yai Beach and Kata Noi Beach.

6. Chaweng

A paradise during the day, a real nightlife city at night. This makes Chaweng on Koh Samui a favorite destination for sun worshipers and night owls alike. Choose the center of Chaweng if you like nightlife, music and fireworks. Head north or Chaweng Noi for a peaceful setting. The sand is white and very soft. The water is warm and pleasant all year round. The most popular beach is Chaweng Beach.

7. Bophut

Sunset at Kata Beach

Bophut on Koh Samui is a beach village where many new hotels and villas are being built. The village is becoming increasingly popular for its pristine white coastline, swaying coconut palms and traditional Sino-Thai community. In Fisherman's Village, located on the east side, you will find unspoilt quaint wooden shops and old buildings. In the main street you can find cafes, eateries, spas and trendy shops. Manicures, pedicures and Thai massages are cheap here and provide relaxation for many tourists. The sunset here is truly enchanting. The most popular beach is Bophut Beach.

8. Karan

With a length of almost 5 kilometers, the beach of Karon seems endless. It is perhaps the perfect place for tourists who want as much space as possible around their beach towel. And while many of the other beaches in the list have powder-soft white sand, Karon's sand is so fine that it (funnily enough) squeaks when you walk on it. The most beautiful beach is Nai Harn Beach.

9. Crabi

The city of Krabi in the south of Thailand is the base to discover the province of Krabi. It is a region with jungles, limestone rocks and idyllic islands just off the coast, in the Andaman Sea. Buddhist temples still used by the local monks are tucked away in the caves of the city's top attraction, the Tiger Cave. From the pier in the river, travelers are taken by ferry and dinghy to the best diving spots, climbing rocks and sandy beaches on the coast. The most beautiful beaches in Krabi are Phra Nang Beach, Had Yao and Tup Island.

10. Patong

Patong is only recommended for lovers of busy beaches. Revelers flock to Patong's wide and jagged beach. Just minutes away from the sparkling chaos of Patong's many nightclubs, pubs and discos, the golden beach is ideal for sunbathing, jet skiing, kayaking and parasailing. Travelers looking for relaxation can spend the day on a sun lounger under a colorful umbrella. The fresh fruit from the beach vendors ensures that your taste buds are also satisfied. The most popular beaches on Patong are Freedom Beach and Patong Beach.
