My wife and I are going to Koh Lanta in November. We fly from Bangkok to Krabi and then have to get further to our Hotel on Koh Lanta. The hotel can arrange a "pick-up" at Krabi airport but is shockingly expensive. Does anyone have good tips and / or experiences to get from Krabi airport to Koh Lanta at a "normal" price?

In August we will travel around Thailand. We would like to travel from Krabi to Railey and then on to Koh Lanta. Now we have read that this is only possible in the rainy season from Krabi to Ao Nang and then by longboat to Railey. Is this correct? And are we sure we can reach Railey in August? If we want to go from Railey to Lanta, do we always have to go back via Krabi?

We are considering 3 weeks Koh Lanta in February/March. Maybe at Klong Khong beach. However, we are allergic to nightly disco booms. On Railay beach we could hear that from miles away until 4 am and we had to sleep with the windows closed.
